Development plans for Cheltenham Park Racecourse were showcased at this seminar through QED Urban Design planners, organised by the City of Charles Sturt. Residents were encouraged to attend throughout the day, which ultimately encouraged ideas in the minds of individuals rather than addressed the many people opposed to the sale of Cheltenham Park.
On several occasions even when objections to the sale were expressed by individuals, the topic was diverted and centred back on "not being left out of what you want to happen" when the sale happens, "otherwise you will let developers have their way". {Who presented this meeting, by the way, other than urban developers?}
Clearly residents have not let the developers in and so there should have been no discussion of "plan B". The main issue was decidedly ignored.
What impression of this seminar did you get? .
