That Cheltenham Park Racecourse be
retained as public open space and storm water recycling.
That the Charles Sturt Council exercise
its power to compulsory acquire Cheltenham Park
Racecourse for the purpose of storm water mitigation.
B. Port Road
That the Charles Sturt Council engineer a
plan to recycle all Port Road storm water on Cheltenham
Park Racecourse.
That the Charles Sturt Council engineer a
plan to recycle all Torrens Road storm water on
Cheltenham Park Racecourse.
C. Brocas Museum
That the Charles Sturt Council reinstate
the Brocas as the communities museum.
That the process of accreditation be
completed for the Brocas museum and a Trust be
established to administer it.
D. St Clare Reserve
That the Charles Sturt Council reject all
attempts by developers to take away any part of the
historic St Clair Reserve for profit.
Electors Poll
That Mayor Anderson call a poll of all
electors to determine the following issues being:
a: Cheltenham Park Open Space.
b: Port Road Storm Water recycling.
c: The Brocas Museum.
d: Exploitation of St Clare Reserve.
Further motions were passed:
That this meeting calls on the community
to oppose the rezoning of Cheltenham Park by sending
their submissions to the Development Policy Advisory
Committee by 11 January 2008 and seeking the right to
address the committee.
That this meeting calls on the community
to protest their disagreement with the Council in their
decision to close down the Brocas Museum and evict the
Historical Society of Woodville Inc. by contacting their
Ward Councillors and the Mayor.
