Attack of the MPs

Save Cheltenham Park - Senior Labor MP attacks 'elite' of the Parklands

It's unfortunate that this stance was taken, and published. Should the SAJC be granted an eternal lease (say of 99 years), imagine only Members and the few paying public allowed in once they erect the fence in the Parklands, just like at Cheltenham.

There needs to be a call for the lands of Adelaide to be brought back into the hands of trustees outside of political influence. Essentially this is the same argument that is being proposed by State MPs for an independent body to manage the Murray/Darling River system. The idea has historic precedence when Colonel Light was instructed to make Adelaide the first example of it's kind in the world - with parklands specifically planned for everybody and not to be developed.
